Thankfully, our little girl has been pretty easy on us so far. She's given no demands for a larger crib or higher allowance. She's expressed no disappointment in her room color or complained about the tightness of her diapers. She hasn't even asked for a wider food selection! And yet, there are a couple things we thing we've pinpointed that Cayla isn't too crazy about:
1. burping. Though we encourage her with pats to the back, she just doesn't like to let out big belches. Perhaps she considers it unladylike. Someday she'll probably pay us back for all the "backpats" by burping the alphabet.
2. her bouncy seat. We tried it one day thinking she would sleep peacefully within its confines. She was awake within seconds and crying. We tried the vibration option. Yeah, not havin' it.
3. the snotsucker. Unfortunately, there are times when we need to put that rubber thing in one of her nostrils. This will almost guarantee a scrunched-up face along with a grunt. If you ignore these warnings and try again, crying will soon follow.
Now for a couple of things we think Cayla loves:
1. being held. We have a girl who loves to be cuddled. Many of you have already found this to be true!
2. her bath. When she first starts to get wet, there is a moment of uncertainty. What is this? she seems to think. But she quickly adjusts (see pictures below!) and even enjoys putting her right foot all the way in the water. We love to dry her off--she's always in a good mood afterwards.
3. voices. Whether it's singing or just conversation, Cayla loves to hear voices!
We're thankful that what she likes far outweighs what she doesn't like! She has made things so easy on her parents so far and we continue to love her more and more every day!

hee hee ... good post ... well, she may not like belching, but she doesn't seem to mind being gas-y from the other end! somehow it's still cute though when they're that little :)
ps - anytime you need a break from holding her, you know I'll be glad to come "help" out :D
