christmas, part I

It was another whirlwind Christmas for us this year. In the span of three days, we celebrated with family in Marshalltown, Tama, Norwalk, and then back to Pella. It was a great few days and Cayla loved seeing everybody! She logged many miles in the ol' car seat and slept in two different homes, but as always, handled everything like a champ!

She loved all the interaction with her cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles. We did have to warn many of them how much Cayla enjoys playing with people's faces. This often includes grabbing your nose, shoving her fingers in your mouth, pinching your neck, pulling your hair, and/or any combination of the four. And if she feels like it, she'll give you the whole smorgasbord. Yep, Cayla will throw her whole menu at you. While you're saying "Ow!" under your breath, just remember it's because she loves you!

So here is part one, just a few of the pictures from the fun we had. We'll post a few more in a week. (FYI, one of our New Year's Resolutions is putting up at least 3 posts per month!)

Her patented "double-ear-pull" maneuver! Though Cousin Gabe is a good
sport, notice the hands stepping in before the ears are ripped completely off.

We love this picture with Cayla and Cousin Daniella!
As you can see, they had a lot fun playing together.

Gramama Jill teaching Cayla "Where is Thumbkin?"

Cayla loves to hear Aunt Codi sing! Cayla will just watch
her face and listen with contentment.

Grandpa Pat let us sleep in on Christmas morning while
he held Cayla in the chair. She was pretty cuddly!

Love them all! It was so great to see you and get to spend some quality time with all of you. We all missed Cayla (and you, too!)after we left!
