Last year we propped up Cayla next to a rose on her first Valentine's Day and worked hard to get a couple grins out of her. A lot has changed in one year!
Cayla has been laughing and smiling so much the last few weeks that it was easy to get some good pictures. Either we are just very hilarious parents (my humble belief) or she is just very easily amused. In either case, we have really been cracking her up lately! And not just us. At our basketball game last Friday, she couldn't stop laughing at the Heefner clan! Seth, Gabe, and especially Josie had Cayla in stitches. Over and over she was chuckling despite the heat and noise of the gym. It was great! It has been so much fun to see a fun-loving personality start to emerge. We thank God for giving us such a fun little girl to hang out with.
Of course, we had to dress our sweetheart up in some proper holiday clothes! We like this one because her eyes are smiling, too.
Cayla got a sweet gift from Miss Julie at church this morning--a giant marshmallow lollipop! Little did Miss Julie know how much Cayla already looooooves marshmallows. No, we didn't let her eat the whole thing at once! We're saving the rest for later.

I know I say this every time, but man she is a doll! Seth was right when he said, "I think Cayla is the cutest baby I've ever seen". I won't tell his little sister he said that:) So glad we got to see you! Love you.
