Cayla has been clapping a lot lately--sometimes even at games after the other team scores. We're working on that. Here's our little girl dressed up in the China doll outfit Leah bought her at the Great Wall in Beijing.

Cayla stills enjoy her baths most of the time. She is fascinated with falling water and holds out her hands whenever we pour water. She still fights the ear plugs going in most of the time. I love to spike and sculpt her hair; Leah gets mad at me. So I thought this natural mohawk was pretty funny. Thankfully, we also caught a huge smile. (And she covered up so we can post it!)

Grammama Jill took this picture. We're not sure what Cayla is doing exactly, but it looks like fun. Maybe she's calling a charge on the other team! Or maybe she's just striking a pose.

Cayla is usually pretty happy when she knows she's going to eat, though she has been getting a lot more impatient when she doesn't think she's getting food fast enough. We're also noticing a little bit of a stubborn and strong-willed personality at times. This is noticeable when she refuses to use sign language ("more") during meals and just insists (Leah's word; mine was going to be "yells") that you feed her fast.
All in all, Cayla makes us laugh daily. She is getting a little more attached to us, and has been known to cry when we drop her off somewhere. Our hearts broke a couple of weeks ago when she was very sick. The fun part was that Cayla became very clingy and just wanted to be held, and there's nothing like your little girl feeling safe in your arms! The sad part was having to hear her cry because she felt terrible. Thankfully, it passed in a couple of days, and she's back to herself. In a few days she'll be 16 months old--wow!!! Hard to believe!

Amazing!! I love the pictures! She is such a sweet girl!
These pictures are absolutely adorable! She is beautiful!
In the picture where you are not sure what Cayla is doing, I think Cayla is doing the "sprinkler" dance...the staple move of one Jerod P. Garland at any wedding reception...
There is nothing cuter than that pic of Cayla in her China outfit. So adorable. We should get her together with E in his Ethiopian outfit :)
